This field of research is jointly performed with the Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory (ERL) of the Institute of the Nuclear and Radiological Science & Technology, Energy & Safety at NCSR “Demokritos”. Expertise in XRF analysis and synchrotron X-ray absorption techniques that can probe the elements chemical environment combined with the ERL deep knowledge of source apportionment methods helps to produce analytical results of improved accuracy and traceability, securing the identification of pollution sources and enhancing our understanding on various physicochemical atmospheric processes.
