Spyros K. Peroulis is in his senior year of undergraduate studies at the Physics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interest is focused on theoretical nuclear physics. Spyros joined Dennis Bonatsos’ theoretical nuclear physics group at NCSR “Democritos” in 2017 in order to work on his BSc thesis, after a two-year collaboration with T.J.Mertzimekis and his group “NUSTRAP” at NKUA. Now, he is an active member of the group, working on the structural evolution of the atomic nucleus as a function of the numbers of its constituent protons and neutrons, searching for the explanation of various phenomena related to these complex quantum systems.
