Kalliopi Tsampa

PhD Student

Kalliopi Tsampa has graduated from the Physics Department of the University of Athens (2017) presenting a BSc diploma work entitled: “Construction and Characterization of nuclear targets using Rutherford Backscattering Spectroscopy”. The period 2017-2019 Ms Tsampa attended the interdepartmental MSc program of the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the National Technical University of Athens (2018-2019). Kalliopi Tsampa MSc thesis was conducted at the XRF Laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics of NCSR “Demokritos” (2018-2019) with the subject: “Macroscopic X-ray fluorescence (MA-XRF) imaging and quantitative characterization of Platinum Group Mineral inclusions in Mycenean gold signet rings”. She has acquired extensive experience in field XRF measurements and in the analysis, calibration and quantification of MA-XRF imaging data. In March 2019, Kalliopi Tsampa has also participated in a synchrotron radiation experiment at the XRF beamline of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste aimed to study X-ray resonant Raman scattering on gold atoms.
