Elena Konstantakopoulou has studied Mining and Metallurgical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens (BSc & Meng). She specialized in Metallurgical Processes presenting a Master Thesis entitled: “Extraction of Gallium from Bayer Liquors” (2020). Currently, Elena Konstantakopoulou is a MSc Student in the Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies “Protection, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments” of the School of Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.  The subject of her MSc Thesis is “Application of X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry in the study of Neohellenics Dodecanese Jewellery “. The detailed micro-XRF study of metal alloys and decorative elements included in jewellery (gemstones, pearls, etc.) is conducted at the XRF laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics of NCSR “Demokritos”.
