HNPS2021

5th Announcement

Please find attached the scientific program of the 29th Symposium of the Hellenic Nuclear Physics Society (HNPS-2021) to be held in hybrid mode at the Auditorium of the NCSR "Demokritos" Conference Center in Friday 24 and Saturday 25 September, 2021.

Because of the large number of abstracts submissions received this year, the Symposium Organizing Committee decided to reduce the oral presentation time to 15 minutes (10 minutes oral presentation + 5 minutes discussion). We, therefore, kindly ask all speakers to put every possible effort to keep the time schedule and plan their presentations accordingly.

Since it is our strong intention to provide the opportunity to the larger possible number of young scientists to present their work and interact with the more experienced members of our society, the organizing committee would like to thank those senior members of our society that graciously accepted to present their work as a poster in order to allow for the younger scientists to have oral presentations.

Please note that due to the COVID-19 restrictions, all posters will be presented virtually (e-posters preparation notes and guidelines are attached). Authors are requested to submit their e-posters at the Symposium e-mail address hnps2021@inp.demokritos.gr, no later than Wednesday, September 22nd 2021.

COVID-19

NCSR “Demokritos” is fully aligned with the Health & Safety rules and procedures as instructed by the Greek Government and it is our top priority and full commitment to perform the event in a safe environment for both Symposium attendees and NCSR “Demokritos” Auditorium employees. According to the newest Government directives, which were issued and are valid from 13/9/2021, all meeting participants must have a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate or a proof of recovery from Covid-19 (in the last 6 months). Please note that you will be asked to present your certificate during your entrance at the NCSR “Demokritos” Auditorium. All other participants must attend the meeting virtually (through the Zoom platform). Details and links to the Zoom meeting will be provided in a separate e-mail. Specific instructions for using the Zoom platform will be also available on the conference web-site.

Moreover, food provision is prohibited inside the Conference Center. Nevertheless, coffee breaks will be held at the garden area near the entrance of the Auditorium, meeting all safety measures and requirements.

Symposium Proceedings

The Symposium Proceedings will be published by the Hellenic Nuclear Physics Society in a special Volume entitled “HNPS 2021: Advances in Nuclear Physics” and will be uploaded to the e-Publishing platform and national indexing accumulation infrastructures provided by the National Documentation Centre (EKT). Please note that there is a limit of 6 pages for the papers corresponding to oral presentations and 4 pages for posters. Full Manuscript submission deadline is Friday, October 29th, 2021.
