| Prof. Mathis Wiedeking is an experimentalist with expertise in gamma-ray spectroscopy and measurements of reaction gamma-ray data. In the past decade his activities have focused on measurements of reaction gamma-ray data for the extraction of photon strength functions. He has developed a new method called ‘Ratio method’ which is based on measuring consecutive emitted gamma rays and extracting information on the photon strength functions in a model independent way. His method has been used to verify the results of the Oslo method. | ||

Prof. Andreas ZILGES |
Website: https://www.ikp.uni-koeln.de/groups/zilges/forschunge.html |
| Prof. Andreas Zilges is an experimentalist with expertise in measurements of reaction gamma-ray data for studying the electromagnetic response of the nucleus. In the past decade he and his group have also been active in performing measurements of proton- and alpha-induced reaction cross sections relevant to the p process nucleosynthesis. He has also studied how to extract partial electromagnetic strengths from the primary gamma rays measured in these experiments. | ||
